To Allah We Belong, and To Allah We Return

On February 24th, 2023 our dear brother, Talha Abdel-Rahman, son of respected and loved community members, Saba Haroon and Mazen Abdel Rehman  departed this world  after tragically being killed in a car accident. Talha was just 16 years old when he returned to his Lord, Allah (swt).

Talha is remembered through his family and friends for his genuine smile, kind heart, loving and very lively nature, and the list goes on. But, we cannot forget about his famous and amazing soccer skills!  A loving son, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Talha is survived by his parents. May Allah have mercy on his soul and with the month of Ramadan (the month of mercy) just weeks away, that Talha and his family be remembered in your prayers. 

Sadaqa Jariya for Talha 

With the permission of his parents, we set up this page so that friends and family can provide a sadaqa jariya on Talha's behalf. The donation will go to water projects  supported by Pious Projects. We will be collecting for wells across the world as well as providing safe drinking water to children throughout Africa.

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”

Note: All funds collected will be used to build water wells in Mali, where 1 out of every 4 individuals do not have access to clean, drinkable water. Upon receipt of the funds, within 90 days wells are completed & video of the grand opening of the well will be available. (accessible to donors to upon request)
