HELP US BRING SMILES TO TUNISIAN ORPHANS

My name is Beenish Gaya and my family and I are embarking on a discovery trip to Tunisia and raising funds for Tunisian orphans. These orphans have had their young lives ravaged by the loss of primary guardians and do not have regular childhood experiences growing up. We plan on hosting regular fun-filled themed “Teddy Bear Picnics” where vulnerable children feel safe and learn the values of sharing and caring through memorable bonding experiences.

Orphans often suffer from social isolation, may often be homeless, or lack strong friendships or they may not find other children who want to spend time with them. Arranging regular themed picnics for orphans to create memorable experiences is a special and worthy effort as it helps lift community spirit whereby orphaned children develop deeper social connections through inclusionary activities, allowing them to connect with other children on a personal level.

Vulnerable children learning through play and children’s activities is worth investing in, not least because making children feel safe and able to experience joy enhances their resilience in a supportive environment. It creates positive spillovers in the local community where orphaned children grow into secure young adults feeling being a part of their community, worthy of care and memorable experiences.
