WHAT IS SAFE HAVEN?
Safe Haven Fund is an emergency grant for those, without means, in immediate need for essential items and help with living costs.

The clients we support have little to no money when they flee their abuser, often they only have the clothes they are wearing and whatever they managed to grab, in some cases even their passports and childrens birth certificates have been kept from them. Without identification it is difficult to get any help, which includes money for food and essentials. Nour has helped many families with food and essential items. That is why we continue to need your support; your support helps us to help the families that need it most.

WHAT WE DO

At Nour, we passionately believe in helping survivor’s make lasting changes, through a holistic approach, which includes healing from the trauma of abuse, in order to lead more meaningful lives; this approach incorporates free services including counselling, legal advice, financial advice, practical and emotional support, training and development. At Nour, we work to tackle the silent, yet prevalent social issues of domestic abuse, sexual violence and childhood abuse in minoritised communities, in particular, but not exclusively, Muslim communities. However, our services are open to all adult survivors of abuse, including, but not limited to, survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence and childhood abuse. ​ Our services are trauma- informed – so that we can really meet people where they are at in the way that they need.
