We are distributing food inside Gaza to our brothers and sisters alongside our UN-approved organizations. 

With teams on the ground in Gaza, we are distributing hundreds of thousands of meals, including hot meals from kitchens and tekias, and fresh produce baskets supporting meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis, and Rafah. Our efforts extend beyond food, with crucial medicines and support for displaced families in Rafah. 

• Preparation- Our Partners will prepare a list specifying the types and quantities of produce to distribute. The typical basket (weighing 44 pounds), contains various items like tomatoes, potatoes, onions, dates, lemons, cucumbers, eggplants, etc., providing enough produce for the preparation of 44 meals.
• Coordination - The local cooperatives coordinate with nearby farmers to source the identified produce.
• Packaging - The local cooperative takes charge of packaging the sourced produce, ensuring quality and freshness

The Crisis Unfolding:

Since October 7, 1.9 million of Gaza’s people have been displaced — that’s 85% of the population. While many have found temporary refuge in public schools, hospitals, and community shelters, others have had to resort to sheltering in open spaces or with host families. Recent developments have only increased these challenges. The escalation in Khan Younis has had an impact on aid distribution, leaving many without access to essential needs. In Rafah, however, we've managed to maintain the flow of aid, although limited.

Orphans In Need’s Response:

In the face of our local office's destruction and the obstacles confronting our team, we've partnered with UN-approved international charities. Our joint mission is to ensure that aid reaches every corner of Gaza where it is needed.

Direct Actions for Relief:

Nourishment: We're distributing thousands of Food baskets of fresh produce, offering sustenance and a sense of normalcy.

Warmth: We're preparing  packages with warm clothes and blankets.

Foresight: Our long-term plan targets the rehabilitation of homes, each with minimal damage and repairs needed.

More than 55,000 (source: OCHA) Palestinians have been killed —including 20,000 children. Their most essential necessities and resources have been taken away from them, including food, water, and electricity.

Update: Orphans in Need UK food distribution. 

We successfully distributed over a thousand freshly prepared meals and bottles of water to the cherished orphans and vulnerable families of widows in the heart of Gaza. The joy and warmth we shared were truly heartening. Following this, the Orphans in Need UK team carried out a further distribution, providing food packages specifically to orphans.

Our dedicated team at OINUSA delivered fresh cooked food to a hospital in Gaza — filled with wounded children, men, and women whose lives have been severely affected by the ongoing crisis.

Gaza urgently needs food, water, and medical aid — however, due to the current escalation in violence and a blockade of the Gaza Strip, getting aid into Gaza has been disrupted.
Our team in Gaza is personally overseeing our response to this crisis to the best of our abilities. We are still distributing food as we are utilizing existing stocks of food items on a pre-approved credit basis. However, these stocks won’t last for long and we are awaiting the humanitarian borders to open up.
