Dear Friends and Supporters,

My name is Misbah, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Mohammed, Who is facing a heart-wrenching situation as his beloved mother battles stage 4 cancer back home in India. Mohammed came to Canada in 2018 to study and support his family back in India. As the sole earner for his family, he has been working hard to provide for them. His mother has been struggling with cancer for the past two years, but her condition has now worsened significantly. Due to this, Mohammed has had to leave his job in Canada and return to India to support her during this critical time.
 

The Situation
In late 2022, Mohammed's mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and the disease has since progressed to her lungs, causing fluid buildup. This diagnosis has been devastating for the entire family. Despite undergoing numerous treatments, the medical expenses have continued to mount. Close friends and family were able to contribute a little to continue the ICU care but have exhausted all the support received in the past few weeks. The financial burden is overwhelming, and Mohammed and his family are struggling to keep up with the costs of ongoing treatments, medications, and associated care. They have no financial resources at this point to move forward with the treatment or even provide the comfort care necessary in this situation.

His mother has always been his rock, his guiding light, and his source of unwavering support. As he navigates these challenges, he now faces a difficulty that requires collective support. The cost of the life-saving treatment his mother urgently needs is significant, with the possibility of further funds being required in the future.

Attached to this message are the medical reports of our brother’s mother, detailing her condition and treatment till date. We hope that these reports provide transparency and clarity regarding the urgency of the situation.

In these times of hardship, we are reminded of the words of Allah in the Quran:

"Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity." (Quran 5:32)

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said:

"Whoever relieves a believer's distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter."

These teachings inspire us to act with compassion and generosity. We urge you to embody these principles and extend your support to Mohammed in his time of need. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in his mother’s fight against cancer.
