💔 In a senseless act of violence, a shooting in Pickering, ON, left our Imam as an innocent victim. He was struck by a bullet in his leg just below the knee. The injuries he sustained are devastating:
• 💉 A critical artery was damaged, requiring intricate surgical reconstruction.
• 🩹 Severe muscle and skin loss, treated with multiple surgeries and grafts.
• 🦵 A fractured leg bone, caused by the impact of the bullet.

After enduring several surgeries and over a week in the ICU, Alhamdulillah, Imam Amir is now stable. However, his road to recovery will be long and challenging, requiring months—if not years—of medical treatment, therapy, and rehabilitation.

Imam Amir has spent his life serving and uplifting our community, providing spiritual guidance, and supporting those in need. Now, he is unable to work or provide for his family, including his beloved five-year-old daughter.
