Sponsor a Sq Ft: Help us expand an Islamic School in Jackson Heights, New York

What is the project? 

We need your support to build and expand Al Kauthar Institute NY. We are currently working towards purchasing a commercial property in Jackson Heights so we can provide an Islamic education to our daughters. We aim to teach our students the morals and sublime character of Rasulullah salallahu alyhi wassallam and prepare them to grow into Islamic role models for their families and communities. We focus on the students tarbiyah, teaching them how to not only be the best of Muslims but the best daughters, sisters and wives. 

Due to the increasing number of students being enrolled, we need to expand.  This will allow us to accommodate over 400 students.  Through your generous donations, we will be able to purchase another building.

This project will allow us to double the space from 2500 sq ft to 4700 sq ft Insha Allah. 

ABOUT US 

Our story started in 2018 when we decided to start a part-time seminary in a small bedroom in our house. We began with 8 students. A spark to learn more about the Deen was ignited. We have grown to over 150 full-time Hifz and Alimiyya students! 

Our institution also provides part-time classes for students in the evening. We also hold workshops and events/programs for the community to help build strong ties and work together in building a spiritually enriching environment for the future generations. 

To expand Madrassah means not only serving our community better but also providing more adequate facilities to our current and future student body. The property located at 7019 37th Ave would be ideal for this effort. The contract has been signed and in order for us to secure a loan, we must pay a 35% down payment immediately.

Naazira & Hifz Expansion:

• Shelves for Students’ Textbooks Book/Kitaabs
• Lockers for Students’ Personal Belongings
• Storage Supply for Extracurricular Activities

Alimiyyah Expansion:

• More Classrooms to Accommodate New Admissions and students on the Waiting List
• Cafeteria for Students to Have Lunch
• Comfortable and Larger Salaah Area
• Recreation Area for Physical Education
• Larger Classrooms to Accommodate the Students
• Adequate Lunch and Salaah Area

Rooms for Teachers/ Reception: 

• Dedicated Staff Room for Aalimiyya/Hifz Teachers
• Dedicated Staff Room for Academic Teachers
• Fixed Reception Area for Parents and Guests

Multipurpose Hall:

• Programs for the Community that accommodate more people
• Safe place for people to come and learn about Islam
