Phase 1 Is Almost Complete!

Alhaduli Allah with the help of Allah (SWT) and your generous support we are so close to to completing the first phase of our food pantry renovation! So far we have completely redone the flooring, added a fresh coat of paint, as well as began making physical modifications to the pantry including installing new shelving, display cases, refrigeration and other physical project components.  

Our Model? Client Choice

Client Choice is a recent development in the way food pantry operates, and we are excited to bring you on this journey. Adopting a client choice model means empowering and trusting guests to make their own choices about healthy eating. Rather than wait in line to receive a standard bag of goods, guests are able to “shop” for their food as they would in a market (the big difference being that everything is free!) They are presented with with nutritional education within the store (such as posters, displays and live food demonstrations) and given the time to make selections that benefit them and their families. 

Help Us Make Phase 2 A Success!

After Phase 1 is complete, the next chapter will include transforming the pantry layout to create an optimized Client Choice shopping experience. We will be installing additional signage, including educational materials, and aesthetic elements (such as wall art) to improve the shopping experience. As we pilot the program, we will evaluate and adjust as we begin to fully implement the model.
