This Ramadan I plan doing a walk to raise money for a cause that is close to my heart. I’ve set myself landmarks to complete and for each landmark I hit the further my walking distance. 

My landmarks 
£100-  5 miles 
£250 - 7 miles 
£500 - 15 miles 

Hunger continues to cause problems for millions across the world, with the COVID pandemic adding extra pressure on already restricted resources.

If we're hungry, we can order food, buy food or eat something we have at home. But imagine not being able to have a single scrap of food available. Nothing for you to eat, nothing that you can buy.

People around the world have that as their reality in the 21st century!

Food is an essential necessity to our lives, giving us energy, keeping us healthy and even protecting us from illnesses.

But more than 690 million people still go hungry, causing stunting, severe malnutrition, lowered immune systems and many more issues, including the loss of life. 

In Somalia, more than one million children under five - 1 in 10 - are acutely malnourished, of which 178,000 severely malnourished and 830,000 are moderately malnourished. 

What am i doing?

I want to change this and give 1000s of people with life-saving food.

That’s why, this Ramadan, in collaboration with Salam Charity, we are providing food parcels to families in Somalia.
