At least 300,000 Bangladeshis took refuge in emergency shelters on Saturday (August 24, 2024) from floods that inundated much of the low-lying South Asian country. The floods were triggered by heavy monsoon rains and have killed at least 42 people in Bangladesh and India since the start of the week, many by landslides.
The floods also affected Cox's Bazar, a district that is home to around one million Rohingya refugees from neighboring Myanmar and is the worst hit area.
They need our help so that urgent needs such as prepared food, clean water, Shelter Kits, Hygiene Kits, and Medicines can be met.
