Mexico has been one of the countries that decided to open its doors to  thousands of refugees coming from Afghanistan. 

Being the only Muslim shelter in Mexico, Members from the Mexican government have come to an agreement with the Latina Muslim Foundation to allow us to aid Afghan Refugees that come to Mexico. We are currently providing housing, food, and legal services to 11 Afghani Refugees and are expecting up to 100 more Afghan refugees in the coming months.

The UN refugees agency reports: 

Afghans make up one of the largest refugee populations worldwide. There are 2.6 million registered Afghan refugees in the world, of whom 2.2 million are registered in Iran and Pakistan alone. Another 3.5 million people are internally displaced, having fled their homes searching for refuge within the country. In light of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in 2021, the number of people fleeing will likely continue to rise.

Afghanistan has suffered more than 40 years of conflict, natural disasters, chronic poverty and food insecurity. Facing an ongoing humanitarian crisis, the resilience of refugees, internally displaced people and host communities is slowly reaching its limit.

Current ongoing construction of shelter. Need for larger satellite locations

We need your help now more than ever. As you know, our center is under construction and we will be opening our doors in early 2022. Even with the center being under construction we are still taking refugees in satellite locations. We will be adding over 100 Afghani refugees to our satellite locations and need your support. 

100% of funds will go directly to supporting the refugees that are coming to us this month. 

Our satellite centers will offer the Afghani refugees healing and hope. Not only will the refugees be provided basic needs like food & shelter, but they will also have access to 

- Medical health checkups

- Dental care

- Mental health and counseling services

- We will also be providing free legal aid in order to assist asylum seekers hoping to get legal status in the United States.

Over 1000 Afghani refugees being screened and welcomed to Mexico.

This project is a Sadaqa Jariya and 100% of your donations will ONLY go towards the expenses for the refugees. Allah (swt) says that:

"For those who give in Charity men and women and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan it shall be increased manifold (to their credit) and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward." – Quran (57:18)
