EVERY MINUTE, 17 DIE OF HUNGER

820 million people sleep hungryevery night. 697 million people worldwide are severely food-insecure. This means they are so poor they cannot afford to feed themselves or their families for an entire 24 hours, due to a lack of money. Hunger kills25,000 people daily. 17 people die from hunger every minute. One person dies due to hunger every 4 seconds.

The suffering of our brothers and sisters around the world is as apparent as ever. Men and women will work 12 hours a day just to be able to provide a handful of food to their family, women struggleto feed their babies every single day and children starve as they wonder where their next meal will come from. 

Poverty is one of the calamities that Allah (s.w.t.) decreed should happen, either to a person, a society or an entire country. It’s up to me and you to do something about it and help these people survive so we can remove their difficulties and so we can earn the pleasure of Allah (s.w.t.).

Mercy to Humanity are feeding our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in Turkey, Yemen, Lebanon, Jammu and Kashmir, India, Albania, Pakistan and to Palestinian refugees’ in order to allow these people to simply feed their families and survive.
