Salaam, More than 8,700 people have been severely injured in Palestine - the majority among them women and children

Shahid is one of the hundreds of children who have been brought in for urgent life-saving treatment at Al-Shifa hospital. Shahid was pulled from the rubble after his building was shattered, unconscious. Doctors worked tirelessly to revive him and Alhamdulillah, by the will of Allah SWT succeeded. They were able to do this through thesupport of our generous donors. You see, Al-Shifa hospital was almost out of fuel. How can doctors work with no light, machines, equipment or supplies? Hospitals are overwhelmed with the influx of patients. With limited equipment including beds, tools, medicines, fuel for generators simply providing electricity is not enough to help all of the incoming patients. Alhamdulillah, we were able to provide more than 5,000L of fuel and 1,000 medical kits but we need to do more. We’ve also delivered:   In just a few days, we’ve seen the power of this community, our community! Together, we’ve eased the burden of our brothers and sisters in distress. Together, we will continue doing so. The horrors are not over for the people in Palestine, and neither is our support.

An update on the situation in Morocco:

Salaam

Today marks one week, the first Jummah, since the devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Morocco. An estimated 300,000 people - of which 100,000 are children - are among those who have been greatly affected. Our MATW team was among the first on the ground within 24 hours of the earthquake.

Within hours of their arrival, Thousands of food packs were distributed, impacting more than 25,000 people!

We’ve also delivered hundreds of blankets and mattresses to families whose homes have been completely destroyed.

Your support has helped us impact thousands of people but there’s still so much more to be done, and many more people in urgent need of assistance.

When I landed in the field a few weeks ago to deliver your donations, I didn’t expect to see what I did.  I’ve witnessed suffering but seeing the pain of hunger is different.  Hunger does not discriminate based on age, gender, religion or race. From buying the ingredients to cooking and packing the food, right through to the delivery to those who need it most - everything is done with Ihsaan (excellence) and sincerity.  Alhamdulillah our MATW team is working day and night in more than 20 countries around the world trying to fulfill our commitment to reach 1 billion people with meals to sustain them and keep them from feeling the pains of hunger.
