In the Name of Allah 

The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: The most beloved people to Allah are those who are a benefit to other people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to bring happiness to the life of a Muslim or to remove a hardship, pay off a debt, or chase away the hunger your Muslim brother may have. (Tabarani and declared Hasan by Shaykh Albani)

Our little Muslim brother Mikaeel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 15th. Since his diagnosis, his family is not only struggling with keeping his spirits and hopes high, but more importantly they are now struggling financially due to bills piling up, responsibilities at home, and assuring to get Mikaeel to all of his weekly chemotherapy treatments which are 25 miles away from where they currently reside.

The chemotherapy treatments are being done at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. The family has been able to keep their home for now due to a small donation that was made, but that will quickly run out. Mikaeel's mom was also fired from her job due to having to care for her son during this challenging time. 

At the moment, because his mom lost her job and his father was recovering from an injury as well, they have resorted to doing whatever they can to bring money into the home through means that are halal. Mikaeel's mom has begun baking desserts and his father has been designing and selling t-shirts in order to facilitate caring for their children, home, food, and the likes.

This is the time for the believers to illustrate that we are, as the Prophet described when he (pbuh) said: "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever". (Bukhari & Muslim) 

This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate to Allah and our little Muslim brother Mikaeel that we love for him what we love for ourselves and our family.
