Dearest brothers & sisters, did you know in the Qur'an the Almighty says "We created every living thing from water, will they not believe" [21:30]. The scholars say Allāh is referring to the water we drink as that is what He created every living thing from. This is how essential water is to life!
Imagine then how difficult life would be if you never had access to clean fresh water. For some of the poorest people in Pakistan & Bangladesh its a choice between dying of thirst or drinking filthy, contaminated water. We should do something to stop that no? Well here's something amazing we can do:
This Ramadan give the incredible gift of water to an entire family by installing a beautiful Hand Water Pump.
Each water hand pump is only £150 and they are Zakat and Sadaqah applicable.
Each water hand pump is installed in the courtyard of a family home and is also accessible by their neighbours, on average 7 families will utilise one water hand pump.
Many families have to spend hours everyday fetching water and often this water is contaminated and not suitable for drinking. This is our chance to change a families life by providing them with access to clean, safe drinking water.
This is also a beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah gift that you can give on behalf of someone you love, maybe you can donate this on behalf of your mother, your father, your grandparents etc.
Each water hand pump also has a name plaque, you can provide a name during the donation process. You can have a maximum of 26 characters on the name plaque.
Please note, it can take around 9 months to install the water hand pumps, we will try to install them sooner where possible. The installation is dependent on ground conditions and may also be hampered by covid-19 regulations.
