Access to clean water is fundamental for life. However, each day thousands of Palestinians struggle to access clean and safe water. 

The problem: 

26% of Gaza's diseases in children are water related.

97% of water is unfit for human consumption.

Water systems are routinely destroyed. 

The solution: 

We aim to alleviate this problem by: 

1. Setting up distillation/filtration facilities to provide safe and clean drinking water. These facilities will provide safe water to thousands of Palestinians. The video above shows one of our previous successful projects. A distillation facility capable of providing 50m3 of fresh water a day costs £10,000. 
2. Purchase and distribute water tanks to poor families to allow them to store clean water. Each water tank costs £40.

Sa’d ibn Ubadah narrates, I asked the messenger of Allah peace be upon him, ‘’O messenger of Allah! My mother has passed away, should I give charity on her behalf?’’ He replied ‘’yes’’. So I asked him which type of charity is best, he replied ‘’giving water to drink’’. (Ahmad)
