Water Trucks for Syria

Water is a critical resource in North Syria, and the ongoing conflict and recent quakes have made access to clean water a major challenge for many communities. The destruction of infrastructure, such as water treatment plants and pipelines has disrupted the delivery of safe and reliable water supplies. The displacement of people, the overcrowding of camps, and the recent devastation from the earthquakes have increased the need for water, putting further strain on the already limited resources.

This project recognises the severe water crisis in North Syria and the significant impact it has on the health and well-being of the affected communities. To address this issue, we are implementing a comprehensive project to improve access to clean water for internally displaced persons and host communities. The project aims to provide water to 21,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in informal and formal camps in the Afrin district. The goal is to prevent interruptions to water supply during the warmer months; which will help limit the spread water-borne diseases. Better access to clean water will also help maintain an acceptable level of hygiene practices, reducing the risk COVID-19 and cholera. 

The project will be carried out through water trucking, providing 35 liters of water per person per day.

£600.00 will provide drinking water for 100 families for 30 days.

£1000.00 will provide drinking water and extra water for wudu to 600 fasting individuals for 30 days.

£2200.00 will provide water to 100 families for Ramadhan and 2 extra months (3 months)
