AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD A LONG LASTING WATER WELL, A WUDHU' PLACE AND A WATER TANK FOR MUSLIMS IN PHILIPPINES
MASJID MULAWIN IN BARANGAY MULAWIN, PHILIPPINES
Masjid Mulawin is located at Barangay Mulawin, about 80KM from Zamboanga City, Phillipines. The main source of water for the jema’ah have always been from the rain water. Previously, it was a stable source of water for all the villagers.
However, due to climate change, people are facing more extreme weather. Non rainy days stretch longer and the monsoon is getting rougher.
We often don’t realize that people are facing challenges in simply wanting to do wudhu’ for praying their Jumu’ah prayers. The villagers hope we can prepare the water well for them to fulfill this part of ibadah and their daily routine too such as cooking and cleaning. By providing an automated water well, we will reap the rewards of the villagers doing wudhu, drinking, cooking and everything else from it.
We normally install the water well outside a mosque so that it will be accessible to most villagers and as it is a priority for the congregants who come to do their prayers. Most of the selected places are with little to no access to water, making the water well most needed there. It can be benefit 500 people in one village, Alhamdulillah.
We will provide updates on the water wells as they are being built with pictures and videos on our social media and also by sending our donors emails.
The cost mainly covers:
Rasūlullāh ﷺ said, “Whoever digs a well, no thirsty soul will drink from it whether it be a human, jinn or bird, except that Allāh will reward him on the day of Judgement.”
ABOUT US: WHO ARE WE AND HOW DO WE HELP
Erth Ul Mustafa is a humanitarian organisation working in South East Asia such as Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia and Singapore. We have local staffs and volunteers, who work closely with us and who know the locals, the people in need and how to operate in that area. Our founder Sheikh Imran Angullia also travels to these places to help distribute the donations personally and oversee the projects.
