Bismillah. We are excited to bring this campaign back in partnership with Penny Appeal USA to raise the needed funds for additional water wells in Somalia. Alhamdulilillah we were able to run a successful campaign in Ramadan and raise enough funding for one well and partially fund a second well. Our goal is to build a second well in the same region, Somalia just $2500 more dollars gets us to that goal.

When I look at this little girls face and her happiness around the life giving force of water I think of my own 13 year old daughter who can go to the sink and fill her glass with filtered water without effort. 

In Somalia only 52 percent of the population has access to a basic water supply. InshAllah your donation can change that. What does the limited access to water mean for a girl like her? It means she becomes susceptible to common diseases carried by unsanitized water; It means she is able to eat a healthier meal because the crops are being watered, the animals are able to drink and gain nourishment from water and the list goes on. 

My appeal is simple, donate from your heart what you can give to this cause.

While our Beloved Abi passed away a number of years ago his memory will forever live in our hearts and we will never forget the impact he had on raising us and guiding us no matter how brief.

My siblings and I decided we would like to remember his legacy and kindness by creating this campaign to open Water Well Systems in his name with Penny Appeal as a means of Sadaqah Jariah (Continuous Charity). The three Water Well Systems will be built in Somalia on behalf of our father Farrakhan Abdur Rahim(InshAllah with your help only 1 and a 1/2 more to go!!!)

I have worked closely with Penny Appeal over the last 2 years and chose them out of the many organizations to assist us with the building of the wells in a part of the world he loved and that can benefit from the gift of clean water especially at this time. Please Consider donating $10, $50, $100 or more to this beneficial cause that keeps on giving even outside of Ramadan. Each Deep Water Well dug costs approximately $5800 to build;

Our communication will not end after your donation, we will send periodic updates and pictures as to the progress of the 3 wells. Inshallah my siblings and I plan to visit each well upon completion.
