Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of Our Beloved Grandparents

‎إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Surely we belong to Allah and indeed to him we shall return.

My name is Zeenat Sayed. I would like to ask you to please remember my beloved grandparents in your duaas . I have decided to fundraise for a water well in there names of Sadaqah Jariyah.
I have been wanting to this for a very long time and I feel know is the best time to do this in the month of Ramadan and recently my grandma has sadly passed away.
Inshaa'Allah this will ensure there legacy on this earth. 

May Allah s.w.a accept all our efforts this Ramadan and make it easy for the whole Ummah Ameen

Water Crisis in Africa

It is a well-known fact that millions of people lack access to clean water in Africa. People travel many hours a day in search of water on Zanzibar Island. Women and children spend a lot of their day walking to collect water from government taps which are unreliable and quite often these taps are switched off for several weeks or even months at a time. This leaves people stranded without fresh drinking water. 

The Al-Ansari Foundation has been drilling for water to get access to fresh drinking water to the poor for almost a decade. Our wells are built across Zanzibar’s remote villages and its neighbouring islands.

We need to build many more wells to reach the most needy who have no reliable source of water.

Why Donate Water?

The humanitarian rationale for donating water needs no introduction. There are numerous ahadith (sayings of the Prophet Mohammed) on the virtues of giving people water. Amongst them is the well-known saying where the Prophet was asked what is the best charity (on her behalf)?” He (peace be upon him) replied: “Water.”

Everlasting Benefit

Providing water wells is a continuous form of sadakah for as long as the well supplies water – even after one’s death. It is narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said there are

seven deeds for which deeds are written for a person even after he dies in his grave, among them is digging a well.
