Assalamoalaikum all!

I am raising £2,000 to build a community water well (similar to the one attached in the image) in Pakistan with the intention of Sadaqah Jariah for my late grandfather (who passed away in 2015) and my late uncle who passed away last December. I wanted to raise money for such a project that would continue to benefit those in need for many years to come and felt that the water well project would be the best project to raise funds for. We are taught that giving water is the best sort of charity as ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

I have chosen UKIM Relief (UK registered charity no.250275) as the charity who will build and maintain the water well. It will be planted in the most needy places of Pakistan (either South Punjab, Sindh or Balochistan) where water is scarce. I want to reach my target of £2,000 by the start of Ramadan so that we can get this amazing work started within the month of Ramadan itself inshallah.

This project will not only be a means of Sadaqah Jariah for my grandfather and uncle, but rather for every person who donates towards this cause. I would appreciate it if you all could donate whatever you can towards this cause, and more importantly share it amongst your friends and family so that others can donate towards it too. No donation is too big or small and every contribution is welcomed.
