This year marks the 9th year that Syrian refugees will suffer this winter living in camps, with no permanent shelter or real infrastructure. We are providing essential winter supplies to internally displaced people (IDPs) in Syria, as well as Syrian refugees living in Turkey.
There are over 6.2 million (IDPs) in Syria, 2.5 million of which are children. As well as this, Turkey is home to over 3.6 million Syrian refugees (UNCHR 2019).
As the temperature falls below zero with the arrival of winter, these families will become even more vulnerable, lacking the necessary resources to survive this harsh climate.
From as little as $55, we can transform their winter, making it survivable.
READ Foundation, in cooperation with Sh. Yasir Qadhi, are currently working in the camps with partners on the ground to help provide families with the protection they need to stay warm.
The Prophet (SAW) said, “Whoever relieves any distress afflicting his brother/sister will have his own distresses relieved on the Day of Judgment” [Ahmad].

With $55, you can provide an individual the basic protection from the cold with woollen clothes, hats, gloves and a jacket.
