On average, we use 5 litres of water when performing wudu. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ only used 1 Madd= 500ml-775ml.
That's almost 10X more than our Prophet's ﷺ Sunnah.
Just imagine! 20 litres wasted a day. 140 litres wasted a week, equal to a bathtub.
With the Wudu Cup, we aim to help You emulate our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by reducing water wastage.
We started with a simple hole in a plastic cup, to a clay concept, to a 3D printed prototype (as seen in our Campaign Video).
We plan to create a high-quality product that people will be proud to own and use, saving water and emulating Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Below is the final concept design that we are planning to manufacture.
WuduCup was started by two brothers, Hisham (left) and Mohamed (right) Omer, who set out to try and reduce the wastage of water when performing wudu.
They understood that only a cup's worth of water was needed for wudu, so they created the WuduCup to provide muslims with an innovative way to perform wudu in a sustainable way and, most importantly, to Revive a Sunnah!
In order to manufacture, fulfil and continue producing the WuduCup, we will need to raise at least £10,000 in funding.
Every pledge receives a WuduCup and helps bring the WuduCup project to life, reducing water wastage.

We were working with our manufacturer to fix a few issues with the WuduCup.
Alhamdullilah, we are now satisfied with the final WuduCup sample.
Manufacturing will now continue and this should take three weeks.
Again, we appreciate your patience!
A video explaining our whole experience will be released in January Insha'Allah.
This will clarify the hurdles and obstacles we faced, clearing any confusion.

Throughout the preceding months, we have been diligently coordinating with manufacturers to ensure the delivery of your WuduCup.
Regrettably, we encountered delays attributed to various challenges, including setbacks with manufacturers, disruptions stemming from the conflict in Palestine (Free 🇵🇸) affecting logistics, and, financial constraints.
