It has been 7 long years of catastrophic conflict in Yemen. An appalling 80% of the Yemeni population is in desperate need of humanitarian assistance, relief and aid. 

Many of us can’t imagine not having a roof over our heads. Even in Yemen, despite the difficulties, many can’t imagine losing their homes.

Torrential rains, flooding, and conflict have stripped hundreds of people from the most basic necessity of a home. Many are currently living in shacks made out of straw and cardboard leaving them exposed to harsh weather conditions without safety and security.

30 homes have already been built - that’s hundreds of people taken off the street. We want to build 75 more and we need your help! 

As humans, we know we benefit ourselves more than those in need when we give. In part, we do it to show gratitude for what God has given us.

Here are the details of the project:

• This project is aimed at helping the families most affected in Hudayda, Yemen.
• The homes will be built in Bajil, located in Hudayda.
• Homes being built will consist of two multi-purpose rooms (Bedroom/Living Room), kitchen, bathroom and a private yard.
• Each home costs $5800, this includes the land.
• Families will be vetted to ensure the most in need are served.
• UHF has already built 30 homes that serve 30 families, each with roughly 10 members in each home.

It’s hard looking at Yemen and its problems. It’s easy to feel hopeless.

We have a team on the ground in Yemen and our US team was there this summer. While things are bad…we have hope.

We see the difference being made with every dollar spent. The houses, food, and training. Many people who benefitted approached us and made so much duaa/prayer for those that have helped.

That one duaa/prayer. That one more piece of bread. That one house. It matters to them. It matters to us. And we pray it matters to you too.
