In 2023, with your support, Shaykh Asim Khan and his team were able to distribute over £100,000 of Zakat in the form of cash to families in need in Turkiye who met the requirements for Zakat eligibility. 

The families had just suffered from one of the worst earthquakes to hit Turkiye, had lost their homes and some had also tragically lost family members. 

Having seen the huge impact that Zakat given in the form of cash has on the Ummah, Shaykh Asim Khan now wants to help distribute your Zakat in the form of cash to the global Ummah. 

This year we will be distributing Zakat Cash to families in:

•⁠  ⁠⁠Turkiye

Shaykh Asim Khan will be travelling out personally to distribute some of this in the month of Ramadan inshaAllah. If you wish to give Sadaqah to this campaign you can do that too.

This was the first time I have taken part in cash giving campaign instead of food or medical supplies & I can see why many of the scholars of Islam state that Zakat should be given in money form. The impact is huge and it is clearly more empowering for the poor to have money to spend on their specific needs and circumstances.
