Wolfville Mosque Announcement!

We are pleased to announce that We have an accepted offer to build the first mosque and community centre in the valley. Alhmadulellah the big success of the Antigonish Mosque and community Center was mainly because of the outpouring support that we received from the community. This is a long overdue project to serve the community in the valley, we are Asking for your support to make this happen.

We aspire to make this project an attraction to more immigrants and newcomers to settle and give back to the greater community of the Valley. 

Why Wolfville? 

1- As of today, there is no mosque or Musalla for the growing Muslim community in the whole Annapolis Valley. The Annapolis Valley has more than 120,000 habitants. 

2- Located Right next to the highway, we envision this new project to become a community hub for residents of Wolfville, Kentville, Berwick and all in the Annapolis Valley. 

3- Having the Center a few meters away from Acadia university is perfect to support international students and faculty members. 

4 - Property is on 28,000 square ft of land for future community growth

5 - Upper two levels have 6 rooms for student housing

6- Lower level has kitchen area and a prayer space

Why do we build Mosques!

At the heart of any Islamic community, a mosque can be found. Mosques are the beating heart of the community and stand as a physical example of our faith. The Prophet Muhammad's first action after migration to Madina was the construction of the first mosque of Islam. 

The prophet’s Mosque however, was much more than a simple house of worship, it was a precious sanctuary that provides a place for individual enlightenment and moral guidance, a place to pay charity to the needy, a place to get together for weddings and parties, a place for children to play and have fun, and most importantly a place in which the wisdom of living Islam materializes. In essence, the aim is to render the mosque a hub around which the community’ life revolves.  

It’s Sadaqah Jariyah!

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]

Building a mosque is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah! The reward for building a mosque is unending, and as long as people are benefiting from the mosque you’ve helped build then you will continue to receive rewards from Allah (SWT) even in the Hereafter.. for every prayer said inside a mosque you’ve helped build, Allah (SWT) will reward you in Jannah. 

A Palace in Jannah

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” [Bukhari]

A great reward for building a mosque is being granted a palace in Jannah. Allah (SWT), our benevolent creator, will reward us for building His house of worship here on earth by building us a house in paradise! Building a mosque helps us spread our deen in this world and brings not only ourselves closer to Allah (SWT) but everyone who enters the mosque as well.
