Shahid Afridi Foundation & Nazir Awan Foundation are proud to be partnering to raise funds for Oxfam’s Gaza Crisis Appeal.

Homes and lives have been lost and people are suffering immensely as a result of human right violations. Ministry of Health reports that over 1,900 people have been injured in Gaza, 232 people have been killed (including 65 children and 17 elderly). According to United Nations, thousands have become homeless and over 92,000 people have been displaced, nearly half our estimated to be children.

Access to water and sanitation has been reduced by 50% and there's concern of a major power shortage. Healthcare services have been badly affected at a time when their health system is already stretched and struggling to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. There is a shortage of fuel for hospitals which is life threatening for patients and for those who need surgical interventions. Healthcare for casualties with severe injuries is being restricted as many roads leading to hospitals have been damaged. Medical supplies and food will eventually run out.

Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people working together to end poverty. They believe that poverty is an injustice that can and must be overcome – so everyone has the power to thrive, not just survive. They are also there when the worst happens. They help people caught up in disasters and conflicts across the world, giving life-saving support to those most in need and helping people rebuild their communities. Oxfam is responding to more than 25 emergency situations worldwide at any given time.

Oxfam will respond, aiming to support 270,000 people in Gaza during this time of crisis. Our team and partners will provide:
·      emergency access to water and sanitation, such as hygiene kits and safe drinking water
·      essential household items like bedding for those living in temporary shelters;
·      cash and e-vouchers to enable families to meet their urgent need for food and basic life essentials, while also supporting local vendors still in operation.

Please donate and support our response in Gaza to help deliver vital humanitarian aid during these testing times and to provide much needed relief to the lives and sufferings of our brothers and sisters.
