The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:

“The most beloved of deeds according to Allah is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim". So, what if this Muslim is an orphan or a refugee child in the refugee camps?

Eid is approaching quickly, and for many of us, it means new clothes, special gifts, and some Eid delights to share with friends, family, and loved ones. 

But … is Eid reaching Rohingya refugee camps?

Eid has lost its way to many parts of the camps. In refugee camps, there has been no Eid for the last Seven years.

Every year, 1.8 billion Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr; and what better way to celebrate this day than by exchanging gifts and Eid cards? The excitement for Eid is shared by both adults and children but we all know how much more this day of joy means to children.  

What do we do?

BASMAH works in Rohingya refugee camps and we help many underserved children including orphans.
