Millions of our Syrian brothers and sisters have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the continuing conflict in Syria.

Many have sought shelter in Northern Syria and are now living in temporary tents which lack basic security and hygiene.

This Ramadan, we want to raise money to build a village consisting of at least 50 bricked-homes in Northern Syria which will provide a safe home for 50 Syrian families. Each home costs £2,000.

The homes will be similar to these which have already been built to house Syrians. Many more families are still living in tents waiting for a home.

The village will help to preserve the life, dignity and well-being of the neediest families who are currently taking shelter in tents.

We have teamed up with Islamic Relief UK who will deliver this project and provide updates from the ground.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease someone in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter." Source: Sahih Muslim

In another narration he said: "Whoever grants respite to someone in difficulty or alleviates him, Allah will shade him on the Day of Resurrection when there is no shade but his." Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi
