We kindly seek your donation to help continue building the Abubacarr Islamic School in Medina Serign Mass Village, The Gambia.
Project Medina is a 501(c)(3) organization working to build an Islamic school - Abubacarr School - in the village of Medina Serign Mass, The Gambia. Medina Serign Mass is well known for its Islamic education and religious heritage both in The Gambia and in most parts of Senegal.
The current estimate to complete the Abubacarr School project is US$165,000. So far, we have raised about US$40,000 which has helped us make significant progress in funding the initial infrastructure needed to begin construction of the school. With the funds raised thus far, we have:
We are hopeful that by the end of this year we will be able to move some students to the premises and utilize at least 4 of the classrooms that are currently under construction (Insha Allah).
The vision of Abubacarr School is to transform the local standalone Quranic school into a formal learning Islamic institution that will be integrated with the national education system, where graduates will not only memorize the Holy Quran but will also be equipped with prerequisite to be accepted to a university.
The Abubacarr School library will help establish a community library where all members of the community can have easy access to books, computers, the internet, and many other needed educational resources.
Considering building schools fall in the category Sadaqa Jaariya (endless charity) giving in this holy month of Ramadan will increase your good deeds.
Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.”

Project Medina Islamic School Update and Dhul Hijjah Challenge
