LIFE IS NOT A DIY PROJECT... 

Help Us Provide Essential Community Services 

The project we founded, the Rhoda Masjid and Spiritual Wellness Centre, is a blueprint for mosques of the future, with a vision of providing in person and online:

• Holistic teachings
• Healthy community
• Individualized support and care for the elderly, the young, and the new.

THIS YEAR our plan was to open a community cafe, a community garden, as well as a social enterprise to provide regular revenue. We also planned to begin the first phase of our project for housing for seniors and young students. These projects are all on hold due to drop in donations during the lockdown. Now we're reaching out to you not only to help us continue community development but also just to be able to reopen our doors after this crisis.

ENSURE this lockdown won't TAKE US DOWN.

Our appeal to you is help us keep more than A BUILDING... it's to HELP us keep BUILDING community. 

IN THE CURRENT CRISIS, COMMUNITY IS SUFFERING - and yet, the need for community is GREATER than ever!  If you believe in the essential value of community services and grassroots projects, then please become a supporter.

مشروع مسجد و معهد الروضة هو نموذج لمساجد المستقبل المشرق بإذن الله، فالقائمون عليه يقوموا: 

بتعليم شخصي و عبر الإنترنت

ببناء مجتمع صحي

بعناية الكبير و الصغير 

هذه السنة كنا مستعدين لفتح مشروع قهوة عائلية، حديقة، و مشروع ينتج دخل شهريا و كذالك كنا مستعدين لأول مرحلة في بناء منازل للمسنين و للطلاب. 

كل هذه المشاريع توقفت بسبب انخفاض التبرعات بسبب الحجر الصحي. 

ندعوكم الآن للتبرع ليس فقط لكي نداوم على هذا العمل و لكن كي نستطيع فتح أبواب المسجد بعد هذه الأزمة.

الرجاء مساعدتنا على إنقاذ هذا المشروع من ان يكون احد ضحايا الكورونا! 

ندعوكم لانقاذ ما هو اكثر من مبنى، بل لإنقاذ بناء مجتمع و شخصية إسلامية صحية.

• 3000 hours/year free spiritual, personal, family, & marriage counselling
• 7 different programs for youth at risk
• Accessible premises; support for seniors - our beloved elders
• 4000 children/year served by our free programming 
• 5000+ Muslims & people of other faiths served by our community cafe & comunity garden
• 50 yearly outreach events to build INTERFAITH relationships that go beyond the surface

- مليون متابعين لدروس ب٣ لغات من كل انحاء العالم.

- ٣٠٠٠ ساعة مخصصة للاستشارة و الوساطة العائلية و العلاج النفسي سنوياً

- ٧ انشطة مختلفة للشباب المعرضين لأخطار اجتماعية و سلوكية

- مبنى مهيأ لدوي الاحتياجات الخاصة و المسنين. 

-  برامج مجانية مفتوحة لأكثر من ٤٠٠٠ طفل سنوياً 

- اكثر من ٥٠٠٠ مسلم و من ديانات أُخرى استضفناه في المقهى العائلي أو الحديقة 

- ٥٠ اجتماع للحوار بين الأديان، اجتماعات تتجاوز التصنع و تقوم ببناء علاقات حقيقية و غير مزيفة

IN A TIME WHEN MANY MOSQUES FAIL TO SERVE WOMEN, OUR MOSQUE IS ONE IN WHICH WOMEN ARE FULLY INVOLVED & IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.

في الوقت الذي لم تستطع كثيرٌ من المساجد تقديم خدماتها للنساء كما يجب، كان مسجدنا سبّاقاً في إشراك النساء بفاعلية و بتسليمها مناصب قيادية في إدارته.

 ساعدنا لنعيد إزهار الحياة في مجتمعنا من خلال

- علاقة سليمة وصحية مع إلهنا  ومولانا، ومع  أنفسنا ومع بعضنا البعض

- أسلوب صحيح في.نقل ثقافة الإسلام في الفنون والموسيقى  والاحتفال.

- بيئة أمنة حيث يكون الجميع  ُمرحباً به.

 عندما ينتهي كل هذا، أريد ان أرانا متقاربين من جديد إيمان و سارة و أنيسة

My motivation to practice my faith had been dwindling for a few years. Somehow, I couldn’t find anywhere the spiritual nourishment that my heart was craving. I was feeling empty and was looking to experience the connection to Allah that I had felt so strongly when I converted. Attending the ‘Focus: it's a Journey’ halaqa given by Anse Shehnaz Karim was the answer to my prayers. It was like a heavenly breath bringing me back to life.  I also found a loving sisterhood and community where diversity is seen positively and is contributing to the richness of our global Muslim sisterhood and brotherhood. I could not imagine my life without the Rhoda Institute, its teachers and the beautiful community it serves.

“ كان دافعي لممارسة الشعائر الإيمانية يتضائل لعدة سنوات. لسبب ما لم أستطع ايجاد مكان أتزود فيه بالتغذية الروحية التي كان قلبي يطلبها. كنت أشعر بخواء و كنت أبحث عن تلك الصلة مع الله التي كنت أشعر بقوتها عندما أعتنقت الإسلام. و لقد أحسست باستجابة دعواتي تلك بحضوري حلقة الآنسة شاهيناز كريم (ركز : إنها رحلة ). لقد كانت بمثابة نفحة من الجنة أعادت لي الحياة مرة أخرى. و لقد وجدت محبة من الأخوات و مجتمعاً ايجابياً ترى التنوع فيه و يسهم في إغناء أُخَُوَتِنا كمسلمين و مسلمات. لا أستطيع تخيل حياتي بدون معهد الروضة، بأساتذته الكرام و بالمجتمع الجميل الذي يخدمه.”

Society has sold us the idea that normal is the ‘nuclear family.’ Who needs community when you have Netflix and endless entertainment to keep you busy? ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ seems more and more like a romantic slogan from another era. That's why - when this is all over - we're going to need projects and places like the Rhoda.  Because we need community, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

يروج المجتمع الحديث دائماً لفكرة أساسية هي آن أسرتك النواة هي الوضع الطبيعي ؛ من يحتاج للمجتمع طالما أن لديك نيتفلكس و تسليةً و ترفيهاً لا ينتهي، يمكن أن يشغل وقتك كاملاً!! حتى أن مقولة “إنك تحتاج قرية بكاملها لتربي طفلك” - و التي تعني (أنك تحتاج مجتمعاً كاملاً يتعامل و يتفاعل معه طفلك، يتعلم منه و يتأثر به حتى تتشكل شخصيته و يكبر بشكلٍ سليم )- أصبحت بشكل كبير و كأنها مقولة جميلة من عصر ٍمضى !

من أجل ذلك - و بعد أن تنتهي الظروف الطارئة التي نعيشها- فإننا بحاجة إلى مشاريع و أماكن مثل الروضة. لأننا كبشر نحتاج إلى مجتمع حقيقي نعيش فيه ، مهما حاول الأخرون أن يخبروك بعكس ذلك.

عندما واجهت الأمة مشاكل و أُبتليت بكثير من الأزمات، كانت استجابة الروضة و أساتذتها لتلك التحديات، آستجابة قوية و مؤثرة : 

- أزمة اللاجئين السوريين واستقرارهم واندماجهم داخل المجتمع. 

- حادث إطلاق النار والقتل الجماعي في كرايستشيرش نيوزيلاندا.

- حوارات ومناقشات داخل الجامعات

- العلاقات والحوارات بين الأديان.
