Thousands of Uyghur women and children have fled their homeland in China's Xinjiang region (previously known as East Turkestan) where they have endured oppression and what has been described as "ethnic cleansing".
More than a million Uyghur men, women and children have been rounded up and put into "re-education camps". However, critics have described the camps as concentration camps where detainees are forced to undergo "psychological indoctrination programs".
In addition, according to reports, Uyghur women are being forced to marry Chinese men, whilst mosques have been demolished and openly practicing Islam carries great risks. Mass surveillance is also taking place in order to monitor the Uyghur population. Cameras monitor every street and every action of the people in the region.
Uyghur children have been reportedly put into ‘boarding schools’ to give up their Uyghur Muslim identity.
Thousands of Uyghur children have not heard from their fathers who have disappeared without contact. For the large numbers of Uyghur children refugees in Turkey, they face the prospect of never seeing their fathers again.
Many have come to Turkey to seek refuge and Uyghur children are being educated in several privately run education centres. However they are struggling to make ends meet and they need your support.
The children are learning to recite the Qur'an and are being educated with Islamic & cultural studies in order to preserve their identity and faith. The children are also provided a daily lunch because they cannot afford to eat at home.
We have partnered up with Lonely Orphans (UK Charity Registration Number: 1171230) to manage the entire process. We previously worked with Lonely Orphans to raise money to build a school for the Rohingya and the school is currently under construction.
You can help support the future of these vulnerable Uyghur children, and give them hope of a better future. Our target for this campaign is to support 100 children for an entire year.

Help IlmFeed Build a Village for Syrians Forced to Leave their Homes
Assalamualaykum
Hope you are having a productive Ramadan.
I just wanted to tell you about IlmFeed's campaign this Ramadan. Insha Allah we aim to build 50 homes in Northern Syria to re-home 50 Syrian families who have been forced to leave their homes and are currenly living in tents which lack basic security and hygiene.
The village will help to preserve the life, dignity and well-being of the neediest families who are currently taking shelter in tents.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. This Ramadan we want to sponsor 300 orphans around the world for an entire year through Islamic Relief's orphan sponsorship programme. To do this, we have set up a competition called United 4 Orphans where we are asking people to open their own fundraising page and fundraise for an orphan (£360 supports an orphan for an entire year, £720 supports two orphans for a year etc.).
We want to encourage everyone to compete in doing good which is why the highest fundraiser at the end of Ramadan will win a brand new iPad. 4 runners up will win a Qur'an Cube each. Not only that, the highest fundraiser on each Friday in Ramadan will also win a Qur'an Cube.
