the work on shelter construction by BASMAH is progressing well. These shelters will benefit the refugees who are in need of shelter.
Good News! BASMAH is Authorized by Bangladesh Government to Rebuild 375 Emergency Shelters for Rohingya.
Alhamdulillah, the BASMAH shelter project at Rohingya refugee camp-17 & Camp- 22 is progressing well. After a lengthy approval process, the work has begun. BASMAH full team is dedicatedly working to build 375 shelters for the refugees who need the shelters urgently. With your support, BASMAH continues to help the refugees overcome this crisis.

Help Build a Shelter, Help Save Lives
The Rohingya refugees are living in miserable conditions without proper shelters. The Rohingya refugees left everything behind as they fled the state persecution in their homeland in Myanmar. Now at the camp, their shelters are damaged putting them at risk with family and children. The government of Bangladesh is urging all to come forward and authorize BASMAH to build 375 shelters. This is an honor and a big responsibility entrusted by the government for BASMAH to complete the shelters.

Appeal for Building Shelters for Rohingya Refugees
BASMAH is working alongside the government to rebuild emergency shelters. The urgency of shelters follows the recent devastation by widespread floods in the Rohingya refugee camp that destroyed 2,500 shelters and left 12,000 refugees shelterless. Each shelter will be built with government-approved designs with durable items. Each shelter will cost about $300 dollars. Every support counts. With your support, BASMAH builds the shelters, also repairs mosques, provides clean water, food, and medical care. You can donate any amount to help in this crisis.

Alhamdulillah, with your support, BASMAH has completed the construction of hundreds of shelters in May this year and handed them over to the government for distribution among the refugees. The shelters were constructed using bamboo and concrete pillars with approval from the government of Bangladesh. The shelter keys are now gradually handed over to the refugee families by the government.

Alhamdulillah, the grand opening of the newly built shelters by BASMAH has taken place after a long wait. The high-level government officials- the CIC (Camp in Charge, Rohingya Rehabilitation) and BASMAH staff were present during the opening. The CIC handed over the shelters to the Rohingya families who lost their shelters due to floods and landslides a few months ago.
