The Paterson community has recently experienced a tragic event that has left us all shaken. Imam Sayed Elnakib, a respected and beloved leader of the Omar Mosque, was brutally stabbed while leading Fajr prayer at a mosque in New Jersey. In these difficult times, we turn to you for your support and unity as we launch a crowdfunding campaign on LaunchGood to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of Imam Sayed and to strengthen our community's resilience and security. (Note: this campaign is created and managed by the Imam's Daughter-in-Law). All funds raised will be distributed to Imam Elnakib's family while they navigate through these tragic times.

Update on Imam Sayed Elnakib's Health
Salam Alykum Wa Rahmatu Allah,
I pass unto you Imam Sayed El-Nakib’s sincere and warm greetings on this 27th night of Ramadan. Alhamdulillah, he has been discharged from the hospital and is observing various exercises to help him recover fully. Thank you so much for your unwavering support and generosity.
We are so grateful to Allah swt for what He has given us. I was reflecting on a similar cause to help the Imam of Al Masjid Al Aqsa for decades, receive medical help, as he is suffering from an acute form of pneumonia.
