Gaza is thirsting for justice! Will you water her? Our vision is to provide clean sustainable water for 4000 children. Will you quench their thirst!

Help the children of Gaza by purifying their water supply!

Update 2:

AlhamduAllah we have reached our goal for $48,000 for 3 water purification systems.  With 6 days left of Ramadan, we are increasing our goal to $55,000.  The water systems will be installed, InshAllah by the end of August.  The funds exceeding the cost of installation will be used to purchase hygiene kits and backpacks for the students at these schools. Thank you again launch good for this platform and thank you to all of you that have donated generously. May Allah accept your charity, your fasting and bless your families.

Update 1:

AlhamduAllah we have reached our goal for the water project. Jazak Allah Khair for all of you that have donated.

We had initially planned on two projects. Because of all of you, we can now order these tanks and InshAllah by late August we will have them installed at two UN schools!

Do to the enormous response and your generosity we reached out to our supplier in Gaza and they agreed on reducing the cost if we add a third project.  The cost reduction now leaves us with $16,000 per project, we are at $40,000, we need $8,000 more to get three projects completed! HamduAllah.

Any excess funds that you have donated and continue to provide will be used towards purchasing school supplies and will be donated to these schools. We raised the goal for this project to $48,000.

Again AlhamduAllah.  Thank you everyone, thank you all who donated, thank you launch good. Thank you to my wife who encouraged me to place this on launch good.

The Crisis:

More than 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s water is undrinkable. The rest is quickly running out. A combination of factors is rapidly depriving the population of this most basic of needs. RT investigated day-to-day life under these conditions.

Just one fresh water source exists today, according to the locals – a coastal aquifer beneath the ground that is shared with Israel and Egypt. But Gaza is situated downstream from Israel, and Palestinians accuse the Jewish state of using the situation to its advantage, employing water deprivation as a tactic against the civilian population.

The grim water statistics are part of a recent UN report on Gaza, which says the strip will become uninhabitable by 2020.

Prior to Israel’s invasion of Gaza in July 2014, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories B’Tselem issued a report that 90% of the water in Gaza was unfit for drinking.

Since the 2014 onslaught onto Gaza, Israel has prevented the import of materials that could repair the damage – thus further exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis.

More than 20,000 Palestinian homes were destroyed, and 148 schools and 15 hospitals and 45 primary health-care centers were severely damaged.

But the condition of the water is the worst part of the infrastructure destruction, as it leaves the population of Gaza largely without potable water.

According to the RT Report, unless the situation is resolved, the Strip stands on the brink of a full-scale humanitarian catastrophe much greater than any airstrikes can cause.

Mission:

Build desalination and reverse osmosis water projects at U.N. Schools and provide clean sustainable water for 4000 children of Gaza.

Goal:

Each water project serves 2000 children, we want your help in raising money for 2 projects.  Each project has a cost of $18,000. With funding we can complete each project in 40 days. We have already completed 3 projects within the past year and our goal is to fund two more projects by the end of this blessed month.

How can you help?

By helping with the expense we can provide water to these children.  You can donate generously, 100% tax deductible.  With people like you and your generous hearts we can achieve this goal.

Access to water for us in the West is just steps away, easily walking into the kitchen, turning on the faucet or pushing the button on the fridge.  Something we take for granted but are reminded of it and its blessing during this month of Ramadan.  But for many more around the world that water is inaccessible. Whether the causes are natural disasters, droughts, pollution, or even war. And in Gaza many of you know their plight and what the children and people of Gaza have endured.

Today I want to introduce to you a nonprofit organization ZAM ZAM WATER. With a 100% purely  volunteer staff they have built schools and an orphanage in Afghanistan. They have put together water projects in Africa, Afghanistan and now in Palestine. Recently they were invited and spoke to the Vatican at The Watershed Conference.

Our goal is to provide the children of Gaza with clean, sustainable water.  We have already built 3 water projects within Gaza at 3 elementary schools.  Our goal is to finish the project with two more water projects at UN schools and provide clean water for 2,000 children with every project we complete!  Your total contributions will give over 4,000 children access daily to clean water, a blessing we all take for granted.

Quick Notes:
Each project expense $18,000.
Each water treatment project will reach 2000 children.
Donations are anonymous.
All donations are tax deductible.
And please get the word around and forward to everyone you know. Together we can meet this goal and hopefully fund the two water projects and provide clean water for the children of Gaza, InshAllah.

Please note this is not Zakat, the obligatory Islamic Charity Contribution. This is Sadaqa Jariya, a charity that will keep on giving. And you can give on behalf of yourself, your family, parents, those alive or have past away.

"When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)" Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim

Will you give her the right. Her human right to clean water!

Rebuild the Victoria Islamic Center

I want to thank all of you that have donated to our past Gaza Water Project.  We are pushing hard to meet our goal for this year's project:  Rebuilding the Victoria Islamic Center.  On these last ten nights and especially tonight the night of the 27th, possibly Laylat al: Qadr you have the opportunity to give and be rewarded immensely.

These final nights are the most blessed of all, containing the secret of Laylatul-Qadr, the Night of Power. Let’s gear up our efforts and race for the rewards in helping on these blessed nights.

During Laylatul-Qadr, spiritual rewards can equal a staggering 83 years of worship and your life can be completely transformed by the grace of Allah.

Please help us reach our goal and give generously to help rebuild our Islamic Center!

We are almost there! Help be a part of the new Mosque and have your zakat be a saddaqa jariya!

Water Project Update

Salam Alaykum, I hope all of you are doing well. I wanted to update everyone on the water project. The three water filtration tanks have been built and are ready to install.  I have attached a short video and hope to follow it up with another soon after installation.

Also with your blessed donations we were able to provide a gift to the students at these schools and provide them with back packs.

The filtration tanks and the back packs are a blessing from your donations.  The manufacturing for the back packs and the filtration systems all were done in Gaza. So your money helped these children and the local economy.

Thank you all Again and may God reward you and bless you all for your generous donations.

Thank You

As Salaam Alaikum,

Eid Mubarak to you all. I hope this email finds you and your families in the best of health and Imaan.

My name is Yusuf Nessary, Founder of Zam Zam Water. I wanted to personally take the timeto thank you all for your generosity during the blessed month of Ramadan. Zam Zam Wateris a 100% volunteer-based global humanitarian organization geared towards providing thosein need with access to clean, sustainable water through the implementation of water wellsystems. We have over 20 water projects in Afghanistan, Rwanda, Uganda, and Palestine, including building an orphanage in Afghanistan. Our project in Gaza is designed to bringwater to over 10,000 students at six different U.N. elementary schools in the form ofdesalination and reverse osmosis systems. Also, we plan to distribute thousands ofbackpacks and hygiene kits specifically for the students.

Initially, our goal was to purchase a total of 5 water systems , but through your supporttowards our LaunchGood campaign, we have been able to exceed that goal and have raisedenough funds for a total of 6 desalination systems. Currently, we have 3 water systems inoperation at: Beach Elementary Boys School D&G, Beach Elementary Boys School A&B, andDair El-Balah Preparatory Girls School A&B, and look forward to add another 3 by the start ofthe new school year, August 23, 2017.

What makes our organization unique, is that we personally take trips to each and everyproject. This August, we plan to take my second trip to Palestine and first to Gaza, inshAllah. Our purpose is to physically see and check the water systems in-person and connect withthe children and people on the ground. Returning with video/photo content is extremelyimportant so that supporters just like yourself, can be able to see exactly where yourcontribution has gone to directly. Our intention is to involve you all as much as possible sothat you may feel part of the process, just as much as we are.

If there are any questions or concerns about anything in regards to our organization or theproject, please do not hesitate to contact me personally. Jazak Allah Khair. Salaam Alaikum.

Humbly,
Yusuf A. Nessary
