Gaza’s hospitals are under-resourced, and the Palestinian authorities have put an urgent appeal out for help. Only 20 intensive care beds and equipment are available to treat patients from a population of 1.8m people and if there was to be a COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, it would have catastrophic consequences!
Gaza’s health system was already under severe pressure due to a lack of medical supplies and the pandemic has only made the situation worse. As of 21st April 2020, there have been a total of 346 Coronavirus cases in Palestine and the healthcare system will collapse if the outbreak worsens.
The Palestinian authorities say they need at least 100 ICU beds and equipment for Gaza and we have partnered up with Islamic Relief to fundraise for 5 ICU beds and other life-saving medical equipment.

Islamic Relief are on the ground in Gaza and have already provided things such as PPE, hygiene kits, food and water for those under quarantine.

Your donations will be a means of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous rewards) and you’ll be rewarded every time a patient is treated on the ICU beds and when the medical equipment you donate towards are used. The equipment will continue to be used for other emergencies even after the Coronavirus pandemic is over.
£60 – IV stand
This helps to administer medication/fluids to patients.
£150 – Oxygen mask
£200 – Small oxygen cylinder
This provides vital oxygen supplies to patients in intensive care.
£250 – Blood warmer
This is used to warm blood or other fluids, minimizing the risk of hypothermia. Blood is kept refrigerated for preservation of the cells. It is essential to warm it to an appropriate temperature not only to pre- vent hypothermia.
£300 – Warmer blanket
These are attached up to a machine and are used to regulate the temperature of patients who are either too hot or too cold due to underlying conditions.
£600 – Lab refrigerator
This is used to cool samples or specimens for preservation. They include refrigeration units for storing blood plasma and other blood products, as well as vaccines and other medical or pharmaceutical supplies.
£900 – Syringe Pump
This is used to slowly administer medication to patient in intensive care.
£1250 – Emergency trolley
This is used in hospitals for transportation and dispensing of emergency medication/equipment at site of medical/surgical emergency for life support protocols potentially to save a patient's life.
£2000 - Patient Transportation Trolley
A specially designed bed to transport patients receiving critical care.
£4500 - Patient monitor
This is used measure, record, distribute and display combinations of biometric values such as heart rate, SPO2, blood pressure, temperature and more.
£6000 - ICU Bed
An ICU bed is specially designed bed for the patients under the intensive care unit.
