On January 7, 2024, a fire broke out in Camp 5, one of the 33 camps in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The fire left nearly 7,000 Rohingya refugees without shelter. BASMAH, in collaboration with Rahma Worldwide, has implemented a 23-day meal distribution project to provide critical nourishment to 266 Syrian families in the Eudwan and Elwan camps in Idlib.

The project aims to support these families during desperate times by supplying nutritious daily meals tailored to their dietary needs. Each family receives a balanced meal consisting of Mansaf, a cherished traditional dish. The meal contains 2.5 kg of rice, 900 g of chicken, and a 500 g salad, offering wholesome sustenance.

Meals are delivered directly to the families' tents to minimize risks and ensure safety. Diligent checks are conducted throughout the preparation and delivery process to guarantee high quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

The project has already supported over 1,200 vulnerable individuals so far.
